Hands down the most vibrant season of the year.....
As soon as I've ticked the 21st of September off the calender I'm packing away the BBQ along with the endless outdoor cushions (which drive my husband mad but I need aaaallll of them!) I'm dusting off my pumpkins .. (steady) and digging out the soup maker (I pretty much can only make two soups but sell it different each time with a different garnish or bread and everyone thinks I'm amazing!) But nothing gets me quite so excited as those rich, rusty autumn tones. Relying on nature for my backdrops makes me apprciate how different they each are and I love them all but maybe Autumn just a little bit more. It's a popular one too , sometimes it's as detailed as wanting to match your wall art with your home decor and I honestly take my hat of to families who are clever enough to pay that much attention to detail! But equally it can add a much needed splash of coulour to your nutural or grey wall, which is more the case in my home...

What should we wear?
I find a colour pallet of 2,3,4 earthy, nutural colours work well. Not so you're all in the same colour but a variation of your pallet. Chunky knits, scarves, gillet's always look great, jeans too. A flowy burnt orange or emerald green skirt or dress is completely dreamy. However if your son or daughter have a favorite top or bottom which would be a deal breaker just go for it, these are just a guide, ultimately these are your images to enjoy. Perhaps a few to avoid though are pictures, logos, busy patterns & neon colours. Some of these can be very distracting and the colours mentioned can wash you out. Keep it simple!
When do we go & what happens after the shoot?
Typically October and November are the show stopper months but can also be unpredictable with the weather so a reschedule is sometimes needed. It's never caused too much of a problem but we sometimes arrange a back up date and a back up back up date too! After your photo shoot I select the best images to work on creating a healthy gallery for you to look through. From there you will select your chosen images to download and enjoy. And if you're stuck for Christmas gift ideas these lend themselves perfectly and I'm very happy to help with prints if required.
